Tehran: After the tension between America and Iran, some ray of relief is now visible. In the last few days, attacks were taking place from both sides, due to which there was an atmosphere of concern in the entire Middle East. But now US President Donald Trump has announced a ceasefire for two weeks, and it has also been accepted by Iran. However, complete peace has not returned yet, just some breathing space has been provided.

What condition has Iran set to stop the attacks?

Iran has clearly said that if all attacks on it stop completely, it will also immediately stop its defensive military operations. This statement was issued by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on behalf of the Supreme National Security Council. He also shared it on his official X account. He said that if the attacks stop, Iran's powerful forces will stop their operations.

What was the decision regarding the Strait of Hormuz?

Iran has made an important announcement that safe movement of ships will be possible through the Strait of Hormuz for the next two weeks. This arrangement will be in full coordination with the Iranian armed forces and will be implemented with some technical restrictions. A large part of the world's oil supply passes through this route, so this step is being considered a great relief for global trade. Araghchi said that this safe passage would be provided in coordination with the armed forces and keeping in mind the technical limitations.

What happened in America-Iran talks?

According to Araghchi, America had demanded talks on the basis of 15 point proposal. Also, the US president talked about considering Iran's 10-point framework as the basis for talks. Keeping this in mind, this announcement has been made. Trump also said Iran's 10-point proposal could be a practical basis for negotiations, and that most issues had already been agreed upon. This agreement will be finalized in the next two weeks. The talks are likely to begin in Islamabad, Pakistan, from Friday.

Why is Pakistan's role in discussion?

Pakistan's role was very important in this entire matter. Iran has publicly praised the efforts of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir. Trump also mentioned the conversation with these two leaders in his announcement. He said that he took the decision to stop the attacks only on the request of Pakistan. Sharif and Munir played an active role in reducing tension between the two sides and taking the talks forward. Iran took this step considering these two as a request of "brotherhood".

Has the situation become completely normal now?

Despite the ceasefire announcement and some positive steps, experts believe the situation still remains critical. It will be known in the next few days how durable this agreement proves to be. Missile alerts are still being reported in some places, and it may take time for complete stability to return to the region. Oil prices have fallen, which is a good sign for the global market, but the real picture will become clear only after further talks.
